It's raining...it's pouring.....

Which means zero pictures outside.

I picked out this outfit last night before bed. I wanted to dress down the dress a little so I added the knee-highs. I figured it would be a good idea to try and pull the colour of the socks up so I added the grey sweater. It was kind of funny. Some guy asked me today if I decided to wear everything in my closet because of all the layers. Hahah Men. :)

Just can't get it right....

I am experimenting with different places outdoors to take photos.  I will tell you that this is not my new spot.  lol.

Any of my readers use a Canon Powershoot SD780IS..If so, what do you think is the best all round setting? I am struggling with this.

The Stylish Blogger!!!....

I was doing my daily dashboard surf and I noticed a mention of me on Coco and Vera blog (love her blog and check out the super cute curtains she has in some of her outfit pics!)  I am in shock and soooo totally excited!!! Thank you!!!

The award comes with a few contingences...
1. Thank the person who gave you this award.
2. Share seven facts about yourself.
3. Pay it forward to seven bloggers you adore and contact them to let them know they've been chosen.

Thanks Cee for the award.  I am still a blogger in training :)

Seven things about myself.

1) I work in a scrap yard(Metal Recycling)...no, not outside, I am in the office and have worked there for almost 7 years.  Not the most girlie girl job.
2)My first real job was in a fabric store.  That was great, except everyone I worked with was about 20-30years older than I was.  Lol, I was 15.
3) I have a twin sister and older brother.  My twin and I can actually have conversations without even talking.  I know that sounds weird and it doesn't happen all the time but when it does, it's freaky.
4)I hate corn and yes that means corn on the cob as well. ewww
5)I tend to buy things that I like in every colour. (I bet I am not the only one!)
6)I am getting married next July and it only took me 4 days after the proposal to have almost everything planned....is that weird? Lol
7)Up until about 1 or 2 years ago, I thought thrift shopping was gross.  I have no idea what changed my mind but I rarely buy anything from a mall now. (if you read my blog, almost every outfit has something if not all has been thrifted.

Farm teams anyone?

No, not the facebook farmsville (or whatever that is called)
Just around the corner from my house the Abbotsford Heat play which is the NHL farm team of the Calgary Flames.  They happened to by playing the Manitoba Moose which is the NHL farm team of the Vancouver Canucks.  That's our local team here.  I still don't understand why they don't just have our farm team here and not in Manitoba.  Anyways, the Moose won and it was a packed house. Sooo much fun.

I thought it would be fun to pull some red out of my closet. Red mitts (2010 Olympic ones!) red scarf and a red tank. I have 4 different layers on, which worked reallly well to keep me warm in the rink. Red isn't a colour I wear often as I feel it's a colour that over powers me a little.  What do you think?

We were hoping for a good meal before the game but even showing up 1.5hrs early, the pub next door had a MASSIVE line up.  soooooo poutine it was.
You should have seen the look on buddies face next to me when this picture was taken.....His thought "Weirdo!!"
Do any of you like Hockey?  Have you checked out your farm teams?  If not, they are great NHL worthy hockey and tickets are CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!

White fluffy stuff and lots of it!

Did we ever get a dump of snow.  It's supposed to turn to rain tonight though :(  Means my drive to work tomorrow is going to suck.  ugh

I bought this floral shirt from H&M when their "Garden" collection came out.  I must say up until today, I was always iffy about it.  I would wear it un-tucked which made it feel like a maternity shirt.  This morning when getting dressed, I had my belt done up around my ribs, to close the sweater just a little.  I felt like I had worn a similar outfit many times so I decided to tuck the shirt in my jeans and wear the belt through the belt loops.  I must say, I have a new liking for the shirt now.

Thrifted belt & sweater, H&M shirt, TR Jeans, Sirens boots.
In the next couple picutres I am playing with my dogs.  Can't really tell though.

Have to clean the snow balls of them.

I could have bawled....

ok, ok, I was getting my eyebrows threaded, but OMG does it ever HURT sometimes.  It's my own fault for waiting 3+ weeks-ish but still.  Can't they make it painless somehow?  The end result is worth it but I walk out of there looking like my babe just broke up with me.  Lol.  Anyone else have the same experience?

-5 and no socks, who's the smrt one?

That would be me.  The things we do for fashion.  :)  I am definitely feeling the brrrrr in the air now.  I love it.  We had a sprinkle of snow the other day and I cannot wait for more.

Outfit today consisted of pants my sister gave me.  I text her saying I was wearing her black pants, in turn she told me they were brown.  Hmmmm, good thing I had brown tinges in my outfit.

Lets pretend it summer for a sec.....
Nevermind, too cold.

Black Denim

Glad I have my pair already. Love all 3 of these looks!

Super easy, cheesy scalloped potatoes!

If you love cheese and you love Scalloped potatoes, you will loooooove these!!

Directions and ingredients
3 Potaotes
1/2 Can of cream of chedder add a little cream so make it a little runnier
A little cream
Sliced onions(1/4 cup-ish)
Velveeta sliced cheese (I used 4 sclices)
Smidge of flour
2 cups Marble cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Use as many potatoes as you have people, slice them up.  Grate about 2 cups of cheese, I used marble cheese.  Mix cream of cheeder and cream in a separate bowl. Slice up onions.
Start to make layers of potatoe, marble cheese, velveeta slices in quarters, onions and pour a little of the cream of cheddar mixture over top.  Sprinkle a little flour over each layer(this is just to help it stick together) add S&P to layers to taste.  Repeat until you have no ingredients left.
Cook for approx 45 mins or until potatoes are soft.  Whammo, you have some cheese-y and super yummy scalloped potatoes.

At the end I added ricotta which I never do.  (it was in my fridge and needed to be used)

I cooked them a night a head just to prepare for tomorrows dinner.  All I will need to do is heat them for maybe 20mins tomorrow night.  If you do as I did, you HAVE to cook them or else your potatoes will go brown. You will see the finished product tomorrow :)

Any questions, let me know.  Enjoy!

Good'ol friend of mine took the first 2 pictures :)
Less shadows on the shirt below.

I took this one so you could see the colour of shirt a little better. It isn't as shiny as it looks.
